My husband and I were overwhelmed with the task of remodeling our home until Jonathan stepped in. He knew exactly what to do and handled the project with grace and ease. We once thought of this home as temporary. But since Jonathan designed it, we never want to move.

Jonathan’s design talents never cease to amaze me. He has the ability to just SEE the potential in every space that he designs (or redesigns) give him an assortment of decorative objects and not only will he arrange them in ways that I, as the client, have never imagined, he will do it so quickly you would have thought someone waved a magic wand! He really loves what he does, and it is an absolute pleasure to work with and I would never do a home without him.

Jonathan knows how to imprint character into every room that he designs. Each of my home’s bathrooms has a unique look that ties seamlessly with the rest of the house. Because of Jonathan, I can now say that I live in the home of my dreams.

Jonathan brought our scattered home improvement thoughts into focus, starting with what we wanted, helping us to see what we needed, and inspiring us to dream of what we longed for. He brought it all together into a coherent plan, watching out for us at every step of the way, even translating for my wife and I when we were not “hearing” each other well! When surprises came, he went to bat for us. Nearly 5 years later, we cannot picture the house being any other way. The initial motivation for the project came out better than I could have anticipated. He was right on target with what we should add to enhance the home’s function and value. The extra things he encouraged us to dream about bring us joy daily.

My husband and I knew when we bought our house that we would need to update the original 1927 kitchen. When it came time to begin designing our dream kitchen, we were so lucky to have Jonathan as our designer!

He was able to help us see past what our kitchen was (one long counter and not much useable space) to what it could be. Jonathan met with us several times throughout the project, working on the design and helping us compromise our various wants with features that would have widespread appeal if we ever decided to sell.

Both of us being engineers, my husband and I had some crazy design ideas that Jonathan had to delicately help us re-imagine in order to save us from ourselves (thank you, Jonathan!). He was also there for us throughout the entire construction process, to help us see through the work being done to the end state.

Our kitchen turned out even more beautiful and functional than we could have imagined. The colors, finishes, and fixtures that Jonathan helped us pick are the perfect blend of beauty and utility, and honestly, every day I stand in the kitchen and just admire it.

It is clear that Jonathan’s experience and level of professionalism helped us take our remodel above and beyond, plus he’s just super fun to hang out with!

Jonathan was easy to work with and very creative in his design of our 1960’s style galley kitchen. It is not only beautiful, but also more functional in it’s layout. He was conscious of keeping the design consistent with our mid-century home. One challenge in our home is that we can’t put lighting in the ceiling due to radiant heating coils. He is a lighting expert and came up with innovative ideas to enhance the lighting in our kitchen and adjacent dining/family room. When problems arose, he went to bat for us and helped us resolve the issue. We love our kitchen and would definitely work with Jonathan again.

We recently bought a brand new home with an unfinished back yard patio area. The space was challenging due to it’s long and narrow size. We hired Jonathan to design the space where we could use 100% of the area for outdoor living which included a garden, fireplace & sitting area.
